Camp Adriatic

Challenge

Camp Adriatic in Primosten is one of the larger campsites on the Adriatic coast, with hundreds of pitches spread across a spacious seaside area. During the summer season, the campsite hosts thousands of guests who expect quality internet connectivity for streaming, remote work, and everyday communication. In addition to WiFi coverage, the campsite needed a comprehensive video surveillance system to ensure security across the large grounds, as well as reliable network infrastructure capable of handling peak loads during the tourist season.

Solution

We implemented a multi-layered network architecture designed for high user density. The network backbone was built on fiber optic cables connecting distribution points spread across the entire campsite. At each distribution point, managed PoE switches were installed to power access points and IP cameras, eliminating the need for additional electrical installations in the field.

For WiFi coverage, we deployed high-density outdoor access points designed for simultaneous operation of hundreds of devices per access point. A captive portal with premium package payment options was integrated with the campsite's reception system. The video surveillance system comprises over twenty IP cameras installed at entrances, parking areas, beaches, and common spaces, with a centralized NVR system for storage and analytics.

Results

Camp Adriatic now has WiFi infrastructure that supports thousands of simultaneous users without performance degradation. Guests log in through the portal on their device and choose between basic free access and premium packages. Video surveillance covers all critical zones of the campsite, and security staff have access to real-time footage via a central monitoring station and mobile application. The network infrastructure is designed with capacity for growth, enabling easy addition of new access points and cameras as the campsite expands.
