Challenge

Lukovo needed reliable WiFi coverage and a video surveillance system to serve the needs of local residents and visitors. The specific terrain and distance from major telecommunications hubs posed a challenge for ensuring a stable internet connection. Additionally, the need to monitor key public areas required deploying a system capable of operating reliably in all weather conditions, including exposure to sea air and strong winds.

Solution

We deployed a network infrastructure based on high-throughput wireless links for signal transmission to distribution points, combining them with local cabling for reliable distribution within individual zones. WiFi access points were selected based on criteria of weather resistance and range, with a configured system for automatic channel and signal power management.

The video surveillance system was implemented with IP cameras resistant to corrosion and adverse weather conditions. Cameras were positioned at key locations to provide coverage of public areas, access roads, and parking lots. Footage is stored locally on an NVR device with sufficient capacity for multi-week retention and the ability for remote access.

Results

Lukovo now has stable WiFi coverage serving residents and visitors, providing reliable internet connectivity for everyday needs. The video surveillance system provides 24-hour monitoring of key locations, with the ability to remotely access footage through a secure web interface. The entire system requires minimal maintenance and is designed to operate in the demanding conditions of a coastal area. The project successfully addressed the community's needs for better connectivity and security.
