Challenge

Hotel Degenija, located in the immediate vicinity of Plitvice Lakes National Park, welcomes guests from around the world who expect fast and reliable internet connectivity — whether for business needs, staying in touch with family, or sharing travel photos. The hotel's existing network infrastructure was outdated, with an insufficient number of access points and limited throughput capacity. The thick walls of the older construction further complicated WiFi signal distribution throughout the rooms and common areas.

Solution

We conducted a thorough analysis of the hotel's spaces and developed a detailed coverage plan that accounts for the building's specific characteristics. We installed a new network backbone with managed switches and structured cabling to every floor. In the rooms and common areas — lobby, restaurant, and conference hall — modern WiFi access points supporting the latest wireless communication standards were installed.

The system is configured with separate networks for guests and hotel staff, ensuring security and optimal performance for both groups of users. We also introduced centralized network management that enables the hotel's IT staff to monitor network status, diagnose issues, and manage access from a single location.

Results

Hotel Degenija now offers reliable WiFi coverage in all rooms and public areas, with no dead zones. Guests log in through a simple portal and immediately access the internet. Guest satisfaction ratings related to internet connectivity have increased significantly since the implementation of the new system. Through a continuous IT support contract, we ensure the system always operates optimally, including regular checks, firmware updates, and rapid response in case of issues.
